est. 2017

OUR BEGINNING

For Tomorrow began in October, 2017 in partnership with Compact 2020 of Shelby County. Citizens, business leaders, community leaders, and faith leaders all joined together with the goal of making a difference today for tomorrow.
We are active in the city of Alabaster, AL educating and empowering youth, families, and communities to eradicate drugs and prevent substance use. Together, we can all make a difference today for tomorrow.
In 2019, For Tomorrow received a DFC (Drug-Free Communities) grant for a total of five years. This grant has enabled the program to accelerate the work that is being done in the community.

Our Team

Each person and organization volunteer their time and energy to make a

Our Work

This is only a sample of some of the incredible work our team is doing in the city of Alabaster.
Family Friend Vendors
In response to concerns about harmful products being marketed and sold to our young people at gas stations such as CBD gummy bears and suckers, business owners sign a pledge to remove or relocate these items from checkout counters and receive a window decal showing their effort to make a positive difference.
Parent University
Parent University is a series of free workshops offering education to empower parents to navigate the difficult world of substance use and other issues. These workshops include knowledgeable speakers, resources, and opportunities for the community to connect and support one another.
Prayer Breakfast
In 2018 For Tomorrow began hosting an annual prayer breakfast for community church leaders to connect and pray for the needs of our city. Many of these pastors are active members of our team and are engaged in various programs throughout the community.

Local Organizations
Monthly Meetings
Alabaster is a busy city with a lot of fun activities and events for families. For Tomorrow is present at many events providing information and resources. These events include health fairs, community awareness nights, teen council events, and much more.
We have many great organizations that we partner with throughout the city. Our team volunteers with organizations like the Day Program that provides services to to at-risk adolescents and their families. Our team is also involved in assisting local schools and other civic organizations.
For Tomorrow meets every month to plan and prepare current and future projects and programs. These meetings serve as opportunities to monitor our progress, identify current issues to address, and find ways to meet current needs.
